Transits, flights, homes, maps, topography, and geography. From 2014 to 2019, I found myself repetitively trying to define my being in the midst of alienation. The only thing I found constant in those years was how I moved from one place to another, learning further who I was in places I was from and in places I was not, in places I visited, and in places, I did not and was not able to. Being quarter Kurdish, Turkish, Saudi, and Syrian, I found myself laying a map and highlighting all those trips in which I found my definition through the act of silk screen printing and sculpting those highlighted places. The colors, an Arabian desert sunset, the place I was born, and the place I found became brighter and missed throughout my years abroad.
